Kiera’s playful collages are a mix of vintage paper materials that give all the nostalgic feels. Her expansive collection of vintage childrens’ books and materials are chopped into shapes and find themselves collecting into themes. Her work sparks all sorts of joy, which is such a lovely feeling these days.

Andrew starts his portraits by selecting of paper from his collection of vintage papers. He then peruses old photographs for the human subject that feels right with that paper. After beautifully capturing the subject using a mix of graphite, color pencil and acrylic, an animal “presents itself” as a companion and is added to the piece. The result is a hauntingly familiar feeling of distant relative who found you through an anonymous encounter with an artist’s inspiration.
